Blowing Off Polyethylene Bag Closures Following a Rinse
An extruder of polyethylene bag closures needed a better way to blow off the extrusion after it exited the cooling bath. The old system was using some homemade system of guide blocks and 1/4" open tube. By replacing the homemade system with (4) Model 110003 3" (76mm) Super Air Knives, EXAIR was able to cut the blow off stations in half and dramatically decrease consumption and sound levels. This process runs 24 hours and we have provided an estimated savings of $45 per day.
