Super Air Knife Cools Hot Melt

Customer manufactures various types of packaging materials for consumer products. One line is producing multilayer bags for packaging dry pet food. The bags are sealed on one end with a hot melt. The other end remains open so bags can be shipped to and filled by pet food manufacturers. However, the hot melt is not cooling quickly enough prior to the bags being bulk packed for shipment, so the bags are not getting a proper seal. This creates a problem when the defective bags are discovered at the pet food facility and rejected. Installation of a Model 110036 36" (914mm) Aluminum Super Air Knife and 2pc of Model 9060 Universal Air Knife Mounting System created a uniform curtain of air across the entire width of the bag to evenly cool the entire hot melt, and virtually eliminated flawed heat seals.
